How do I get a Library Card?
Easy! Visit the library during open hours, or reach out to us by phone or email and we will get you started. Library cards are free and available to all patrons aged 5 and older.
How can I support the library?
There are many ways you can support us!
Financial support can be directed to either our general operations or our expansion project.
You can also support us by being a library volunteer. We have various volunteering needs, from regular to very occasional. Click here to learn more.
Do you take book donations?
We do! All donations that come in to the library are vetted and either are added to the book sale, the collection, or are used for other fundraising and programing opportunities! We greatly appreciate every donation.
If you are a local author looking to donate your latest book to our collection please get in touch with us! We would love to add it to our catalog.

What will happen with the current library when you move?
The short answer is: we don’t know!
As a municipal library, our buildings are owned by the town, so the final say of what happens to the current library when we have moved will go to the select board. Please feel free to reach out to them with any further questions.
How can I join the Friends of the Library?
Please come to a FOL meeting or reach out to the FOL chair directly for information about joining.
When you give to the Library & Friends joint annual appeal, you are automatically given a membership to the friends for that year.
When do your trustees meet and how do I join a meeting?
Library trustees meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm at the library. You can view the upcoming agenda as well as a link to join remotely on the town website.
Does the library have the book I want to read?
You can check our catalog by clicking here. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, reach out to us. We will double check and in the event that is not a part of our collection we will request it for you from another library through the interlibrary loan system.
I have a concern about something in the library’s collection. What can I do about that?
Public libraries are designed to serve entire communities with diverse populations, which means they aim to provide a wide range of viewpoints rather than just those favored by the majority or specific individuals. The presence of material you find objectionable often stems from the foundational principles of intellectual freedom and the library’s commitment to provide access to information for everyone, regardless of personal beliefs. If you find material that you believe does not meet the library’s selection policies, you may submit a formal “Request for Reconsideration of Materials”. This process allows for a review of the item by staff to ensure it adheres to the library’s mission, rather than having it removed arbitrarily.
If you feel the library is lacking in some area, please submit your specific concern in writing, along with some titles you suggest we review for inclusion in the collection.
